President's Letter

What attracts people to a synagogue,
how do we engage members and how do we keep members
long term? The answers to those questions are
quite different than previous generations. It
is evident that there is not one clear answer
and frankly it is one of the appealing aspects
of Sha’arei Shalom. We are different than
most congregations in MetroWest. We are unaffiliated
and welcome the diverse makeup of the area. Rabbi
Sonia has brought new energy to the community
and her musical talents are enjoyed by all.

Our philosophy is to encourage participation and
interaction from all members and to respect everyone’s
opinion. Our Hebrew School provides a great education
for our children in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere while
preparing them for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. The Sha’arei
Shalom Community is a welcoming one to the Jewish population
of the MetroWest Region.
