Rabbi’s Letter
by Margie Klein
Friends,
Thank you so much for all the support and love you have sent our way since the birth of our daughter. Since
her birth, we have received generous gifts and lovely messages from congregants, adorable cards from the
Hebrew schoolers, and a full crew of 17 Sha’arei Shalom folks at the baby naming. What a blessing to be able
to share this experience with the Sha’arei Shalom community! Thank you!
To end the suspense, we named our daughter Uriel Paloma, Uriel Paya in Hebrew/Yiddish. Uriel,
pronounced “Oo-ri-el,” is one of the four Archangels, and the name means “God is my light,” or “My light is
God.”
For those of you who were not able to be at the Baby Naming, I wanted to share some videos and photos, and
our explanation of the name (pasted below and found in Video 2). We look forward to introducing the baby to
you in person someday soon!
Blessings,
Rabbi Margie
